ABOUT
Perceptions Trio reinvents their way of playing jazz by using effect pedals and unconventional techniques. The saxophone crafts chords, basslines, and atmospheric textures, pushing beyond traditional roles. The guitar blends extended harmonies with unusual textures, delivering virtuosic and evocative moments. The drums fuses jazz with intricate Brazilian rhythms, adding dynamic energy and depth to their bold, adventurous sound.

Charley Rose claims to be at the crossroads of rock, free, and jazz music. He is also a great admirer of 20th-century music (Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Ligeti...). These factors drive him to create the Larchey Zore Quartet, an experimental group intimately working with extreme music forms, which will release their album in 2017, following their win at the Dutch event Keep an Eye the Record. In 2016, he establishes his Charley Rose Trio alongside Enzo Carniel and Ariel Tessier. A debut album is released on the Déluge label in 2018, and a second one will come out on the Menace label in June 2023.
